Hindus, have you ever thought about the possibility that the black stone in Kaabah is a Shiva Lingham?
Considering archaeological findings that led to evidence that the Arabian Peninsula (possibly) once ruled by the Hindu King Vikramaditya (inscription was found there too).
It is not unusual for newer religions to absorb certain practices/artifacts of the old (predating) to the founding of newer ones, therefore, I am not in any way ‘belittling’ Islam as this is just a general question which I seek for opinions and views from others, particularly from fellow Hindus as it is a common belief that those ‘idols’ as mentioned by Muslims were in fact, idols of Hindu deities (there were even recent discoveries of Lord Ganesh’s idol in Kuwait!).
I warmly welcome Muslims to share their views too, in seeing how much we have in common despite the differences we tend to put among ourselves. The legend/story of the origin of how the stone was sent to mankind was also similar to various other versions of sacred Shiva Linghams in India.

If there’s something to prove, then prove it… if there’s something to disprove of, please do so. Insults and sarcasm towards other users will do no good and only make yourself look so foolish.

Hinduism, as a religion, is proven to have flourished for over 6,500 years – long before ‘Abraham’ (ca. 2,000 BC), the patriarch and progenitor of the Jewish people, had ‘founded’ Judaism :
The Jews believe in ‘a single, omniscient, omnipotent, benevolent, transcendent God, who created the universe and continues to govern it’ [as is said in the sacred Torah, composed between 850-620 BC]. ‘Islam’ was not even in existance at that time !
Some 1,200 years later, this Judaic concept was conveniently ‘borrowed’ by Islam’s ‘Prophet’ Mohammed – who passed it off as ‘God’s personal declaration to him’, in the 7th century AD !
…Before Mohammed named it as the headquarters of Islam, Mecca itself was only an outpost – for trading in leather, cloth, and camel butter, with nomads.
Incidentally, Mecca had never been mentioned by earlier historians such as Procopius, Nonnosus, and the Syrian church chroniclers writing in Syriac. No mention of the place – either as a busy trading center, or place of pilgrimage – has been made in any of the geographies or histories written in the last three centuries before the rise of Islam !
…Kaaba is the shrine housing the Black Stone (also called al-Hajar-ul-Aswad) – which is believed by Muslims to date back to the time of Adam and Eve.
This stone is about 30 cm (12 inches) in diameter, and is located on the Eastern corner of the Kaaba, surrounded by a silver framework.
If one takes an objective look at the pre-Islamic history of the Kaaba, it was originally a Nabatean shrine dedicated to a deity named Hubal.
Later, the Kaaba was turned into a shrine for the Daughters of God (al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat), and housed 360 idols which probably represented the days of the year.
…All Mohammed did, after using brutal force to drive his brand-new religion’s rivals out of the Kaaba, was to officially install this one Black Stone in that shrine, to represent the ‘one God’ !

…The Hindu concept that ’souls can neither be created nor destroyed, but only be transformed from one living form into another’, had thus looked upon destruction as a form of resurrection !
…It is the Muslim and European invaders, who later became rulers of our peace-loving nation [which has a proven history of NO invasions of any foreign territories, for over 2,500 years], who identified this new and solely visual ‘meaning’ – and promptly recorded their ‘discovery’ in their own writings !
…It still beats me, as to how a symbol of Destruction could thus get mis-equated with a human organ for procreation – by persons who didn’t even bother check up very basic facts !
P S : Mr WWW, can you give me one single acceptable PROOF that your ‘Adam’ was the ‘first man’ ?
Fossils and other evidences of pre-historic men and women show that they were absolute savages, who only communicated with each other through grunts and growls. All they knew was hunger, anger and fear – and none of them had any idea of God or worship !
If your mythical ‘Adam’ was the first of such savages, then, hats off to that equally mythical ‘God’ who effectively communicated his message that “there is none worthy of worship except God” – in an understandable and followable ‘language’ !
So, I totally agree with you, that if “Adam was the first man, he surely wasn’t a Hindu” :
No illiterate, non-communicative savage could have been an early Hindu.
…Hinduism is a way of properly living one’s life, as originally prescribed by highly intellectual and very literate persons. No one gave it any name, or even called it a ‘religion’ – unlike most other materialistic and brutal ‘religions’ that sprouted to serve certain vested interests, in other parts of the world !
…Milleniums later, this way of life was adapted into a religion, which proved a lot more effective, in guiding the illiterate masses – who needed a religion to believe in.
…And it was the invaders who named it as ‘Hinduism’ !
